Instructor Certification

Use our train-the-trainer approach to certify your district's trainers to deliver McGrath curriculum locally within your district

Overview

In our decades working with K-12 school districts, we have found that a train-the-trainer approach is a particularly effective means of setting a district up for a successful implementation. Your district selects qualified candidates for the instructor certification, and once they have graduated from McGrath instructor certification program, they are certified to deliver McGrath programming locally within your district. This approach enables your district to adapt to changing needs, while fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

What is a Train-the-Trainer Approach?

A train-the-trainer (TTT) model builds your district's internal training capacity for the long run. Instead of always relying on our trainers, you identify and develop several local subject matter experts who then become responsible for training others in the district. Each of your chosen instructors goes through our McGrath Instructor Certification course to become certified to deliver our programming within your district.

How It Works

STEP 1.

Identify your qualified instructor candidates. Look for experienced leaders and administrators your staff respects.

STEP 3.

Schedule your instructor(s) to lead local training session(s) as soon as possible after they become certified. Start onboarding your staff and implementing the system across your district on a schedule that works for you.

STEP 2.

Send your candidate(s) to attend McGrath's 3-day Instructor Certification course. They receive access to all the materials they'll need to lead a course locally with confidence.

STEP 4.

Support your successful implementation. McGrath's team is always available to help your instructors by answering their questions, providing resources, and giving follow-up trainings to deepen their knowledge.

Instructor Certification Programs

McGrath offers two instructor certification programs. While an instructor must complete certification requirements for each program independently, it is common to find districts that have adopted both systems.
